I
began playing golf at the age of 4, and started tournaments at
the age of 12. By 15, I was the Kentucky Junior State Champion!
I made Junior College All-American in 1982, and NCAA Division
II National Champion in 1984.
I turned professional in 1985 and began playing and teaching
golf for a career. I have given over 25,000 golf lessons in my
career.
My first professional position was as an assistant professional
at Winding
Hollow Country Club in Columbus, Ohio. I then became the assistant
at Bellfonte Country Club in Ashland, Ky. I returned to Columbus
in 1989 to become the Director of Golf Instruction at The Range
of Pickerington. When The Range of Pickerington closed, I moved
to Eastland
Golf Center where I still teach today.
I am so lucky and blessed to be a Professional Golf Instructor.
I love helping people with their golf games and seeing them smile
when they shoot lower scores. I cannot wait each day to go to
work and this makes me a lucky man.
I am blessed to be married to my wife Kris Ellington and we have
been married for twelve years. We live in Powell, Ohio. We are
members at Northwest
Bible Church in Hilliard, Ohio.
When not teaching, I love to ski, read, listen to music, and do
yoga.
